Operational Excellence

What makes our impact possible is not just passion — it is infrastructure. One Check Away has built the operational foundation that most nonprofits our size take years to establish.

  • CLIA-certified mobile unit operational (CLIA ID: 10D2325511 | Testing Site ID: 12-960)

  • Electronic health record system fully deployed — 80% faster intake vs. paper-based workflows

  • Telehealth platform established for real-time physician consultation in field conditions

  • 340B covered entity status secured — enabling sustainable pharmaceutical access

  • Universal language access via Jeenie — 270+ languages, zero exclusions

  • MOA active with Sarasota County Department of Health

  • Pending Memorandum of Agreement with American Red Cross Community Adaptation Program

  • 100% real-time data security | Zero compliance incidents | Zero safety incidents

The infrastructure, community trust, and disaster-response readiness described in our submission are no longer aspirational — they are operational and field-tested."

Impact in Action: A Life Saved

Numbers tell part of the story. This one tells the rest.

TRUST-BASED INTERVENTION  |  Q4 2025  |  IDENTIFYING DETAILS MODIFIED TO PROTECT PRIVACY

During a routine community health screening event, our Check Coast team provided vital signs checks for a fellow veteran — a man with a profound distrust of the healthcare system who would not have walked into a clinic on his own.

What happened:

  1. Initial Contact — Our team identified dangerously elevated blood pressure. The patient had no primary care provider.

  2. Trust Building — Rooted in a shared veteran background, he agreed to return for a follow-up recheck the following week.

  3. Crisis Management — At the recheck, the patient was in hypertensive crisis. Because of the trust we had built, he allowed our team to escort him directly to the VA clinic, which escalated him to the Emergency Department.

  4. Continuum of Care — Our team remained engaged throughout the stabilization process — providing professional advocacy and family coordination until discharge.

  5. Outcome — This veteran became a vocal community ambassador for Check Coast. He tells others: this team does not just hand you a pamphlet. They stay.

This is what "meeting people where they are" actually means. Not as a tagline — as a life-saving practice.
