HEALTH CARE
Culture in Care
Healthcare disparities within marginalized communities extend far beyond a conversation about implicit bias, it is now a matter of public safety. Our Culture in Care Certification Program, specifically designed for health care professionals and first responders, provides cultural intelligence skills which result in improved patient care experiences and outcomes.
Operating in Good Faith
Costly dental, audio and visual procedures and aids are most often unrealistic for marginalized communities to include the working poor. Operating In Good Faith provides financial assistance and/or resources that include hearing aids, prosthetic lenses, dental extractions, etc.
SCIENCE
36% kids in urban communities couldn't complete homework because they didn't have access to a computer



TECHNOLOGY
43% of kids from low-income families used a cellphone for distance learning during the pandemic



ENGLISH
Students experienced approximately 3 month loss in reading skills during the pandemic



MATH
Due to COVID19 Students experienced substantial drops in math, losing roughly five months’ worth of gains

DISTANCE LEARNING
According to Statisca over 463 million students had no computer and/or Wifi service to complete distance learning during the pandemic. OCAI works to ensure technology isn't a barrier by providing laptops and Wifi services.
